No place in the world conjures the adventuring image better than the Cradle of Mankind. Join us on our unique 37-day journey through the vast and varied lands of southern Africa! And, not just South Africa. The African Adventure 2007 begins and ends in Cape Town, South Africa, making a counter-clockwise loop through Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia.

Highlights of the tour will include:

  • A visit to a living Zulu Village or "Krall".
  • Opportunities to fly in a microlight aircraft, go white water rafting, jet boating, or ride an African elephant at Victoria Falls.
  • A dinner cruise on the Zambezi River.
  • A fly-in/drive out 4-day/3-night safari into the Okavango Delta, exploring the waterways in Mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), and camping at permanent tent sites
  • An early morning ride into the fabled Namibian Dunes at Soussuvlei.
  • Spectacular tar and gravel riding up South Africa’s Garden Coast, across Botswana’s Kalahari Desert, through Namibia’s Caprivi Strip game reserve, then down the Skeleton Coast.
  • Containerized round-trip shipment of your motorcycle from Seattle, Washington, USA to Cape Town, South Africa.
  • The finest available accommodations or lodges each night, with most dinners and breakfasts included.

Although the Africa Adventure is now being offered for the third time, the 2007 Adventure will not be a simple cookie-cutter of previous tours. Each tour is unique, with changes and revisions being made from year to year.

To participate in this Adventure, you must be both experienced and comfortable riding in crowded urban traffic, and relatively long distances on roads with varying surface conditions on a fully loaded motorcycle. The last 1/3 of the tour is on salt and gravel roads in Namibia. You should own a rough-terrain capable "dual-purpose" type motorcycle, with sturdy, lockable panniers or saddlebags and an approved handlebar-mounted portable Garmin GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver.

The tour package fee DOES include round-trip containerized shipment of your motorcycle from our home port of Seattle, Washington, USA to Cape Town, South Africa, processing and documentation fees, safari permits, all accommodations, most dinners, all breakfasts, some lunches, fees for our local guides, drivers and chase vehicle, and most en route cultural or planned group activity charges.

The tour package DOES NOT include, motorcycle or shipping insurance, your airfare or transportation to Cape Town, South Africa, return airfare or transportation from Cape Town, South Africa, transportation of your motorcycle to/from our home port of Seattle, Washington, USA, or personal daily expenses such as fuel, consumables, lunch and tips for guides and drivers.
