The GlobeRiders Live!Journal is weblog created while any of our adventure tours or expeditions is in progress. While journeying along, participants send stories and photo galleries to our webmeister as time and internet connections permit. Once a week, these are published as a new Weekly Chapter webpage on this website. Those who subscribe to our newsletters, to include families and friends of the riders, receive an Update notice via email as each new Weekly Chapter is published. Even years after the tour is over, participants can re-live the adventure, as all Live!Journals are archived and listed below.
In addition to a Bikes and Bios Chapter, where you can meet the participants and staff up close and personal, each Live!Journal Chapter also has a Position Tracking Banner Map. The GlobeRiders guide on each tour has a SPOT Personal Satellite Messanger on his motorcycle. Throughout any given riding day, a number of GPS-determined position fixes are sent via satellite, and each position fix is rendered and displayed on the Chapter Banner Map. In short, you can track the group's position in real-time via satellite.
Even if you couldn't join in, you can take a "virtual tour" of most anywhere we've been via the Live!Journals. Take a look at the list below and choose your destination, click the image, and we'll take you there.
